Corporations war for dominance, rebels and pirates raid the outer galaxy, and decadant, hedonistic or authoritarian empires horde the inner planets. The safety that can be found throughout the galaxy of Strata is highly sought after, and heavily fought for.
Please remain calm. The following info hopefully is sorted enough to be legible.
Unregistered Spacecraft are an arrestable offense in all star systems. If your legally owned spacecraft is unregistered, make your way to your nearest DSV.
Starship
Starships are multipurpose craft that can go to, and from atmosphere, without requiring special infrastructure.
Voidship
Voidships are craft specially built for the cold void of space that cannot enter atmosphere without specialised infrastructure, such as expensive Void-Docks. They are typically larger, faster and cheaper to produce per ton.
Atmoship
Atmoships are ships that cannot exit the atmosphere. Typically airtight enough to go right to the edge of the atmosphere, however they are not made to exit it.
Legal Definition
A starship is legally defined as a ship capable of safely and repeatedly entering and exiting atmosphere. For registration, it must not leak atmosphere, be susceptible to pressure, or unable to exit atmosphere.
